Live Webcasts

Samuel is channeled by Lea Schultz on the first Sunday of every month in a public meeting in Lexington, Kentucky. Now you can be a part of the audience from your computer by participating in webcasts of these meetings directly from a link on this web page.

Meetings begin at 7:30 p.m. Eastern Time with announcements followed by welcoming comments from Lea. This portion of the meeting varies in length and is not part of the webcast.

The webcast begins at 7:45 p.m. Eastern Time with a prerecorded message, switching to a live webcast when Lea begins channeling Samuel (which usually happens around 7:50 p.m. Eastern Time, once announcements and opening comments are complete). Meetings vary in length, usually ending by 9:15 p.m.

This webcast is brought to you by Phoenix Institute.

The next live webcast is:

  • Sunday, June 3
  • 7:45 p.m. Eastern Time

Getting ready to receive the webcast

You need Microsoft's Windows Media Player, version 9 or later installed on your computer in order to receive the webcast.

Testing Your Connection

Use this test stream, from the July 2, 2006 meeting with Samuel, to verify that Windows Media Player is installed and launches from your browser:

If nothing happens beyond your browser opening a blank web page, you probably need to install a current version of Windows Media Player. Instructions for downloading and installing can be found at Microsoft.com. Just click on the link and follow the installation instructions.

Our streaming server recognizes the speed of your connection to the internet and delivers the stream that is best suited for your set-up.

People with dial-up connections, satellite or low bandwidth DSL/cable will be able to participate in the webcast but will be sent a lower quality video image than full DSL/cable due to the limited amount of bandwidth available.

For optimal-video-webcast experience, please do not resize your Media Player window after Samuel has started speaking. Resizing the window will often result in the video skipping or stalling, although the audio will usually remain clear. Try to find the best size for your system during the introductory part of the stream. If you are experiencing excessive skipping and stalling, you may want to reduce the size of your window and restart your Media Player session.

Additional Info

More information about Windows Media Player can be found at Microsoft’s FAQ page.

Additional Info

In tests, the webcast link launches the VLC player and begins playing the webcast when using Firefox as the browser, but not when using Safari or Chrome. If the webcast link doesn't automatically launch the VLC player for you, try it again using Firefox as your web browser or manually start up the VLC Media Player located in your applications folder, go to the File menu and click on Advanced Open File. Then paste or type in the URL for the webcast: http://easylink.playstream.com/winlive/sundayvideowebcast.wvx.

Phoenix Institute

Phoenix Institute, Inc. is a nonprofit, tax exempt 501(c)3 organization based in Lexington, Kentucky. It was formed in 1984 to give the public access to Samuel’s message of personal empowerment.

More than a building or an organization, Phoenix is a dynamic and changing group of people who are committed to learning more about themselves through studying Samuel’s teachings and incorporating those spiritual principles into their lives.

Phoenix has no membership nor paid staff. It is run by a group of dedicated volunteers, with much of its financial support coming through donations.

Phoenix works closely with EarthLight, Inc. to make sure that resources and information about Samuel’s work are available to those who wish to know more.
